Interactive travel map launched to promote tourism in Cuba

The 38th International Tourism Fair was held in the northern province of Villa Clara, 400km east of Havana. The website CubaMaps has updated data and references on the main scenic spots in Cuba.

 

 

Oscar Gonzalez, director of the National Tourist Information Office (INFOTUR), led a team to develop the digital map over the past two years stated that the information on the map was provided by the official Cuban institutions.

 

 

Gonzalez  has devoted himself to the development of Cuba’s tourism industry for years mentioned that  that the map offers accurate information about hotels, restaurants, rent-car centers and currency exchange offices.

 

 

One can access the app for CubaMaps through cellphone devices with the Android operating system.

 

 

This will allow the calculation of both the distance and the time it takes to travel from a certain point to another through different means of transport.

 

 

One can access the website and the app in Spanish, English, French and German .

 

With 4.7 million foreign tourist arrivals, generating half a million jobs the Cuba tourism showed a huge boom.
