Eastlake man accused of two sex crimes

A 32-year-old Eastlake man faces sexually oriented charges in Mentor after his arrest there May 3, Mentor Municipal Court records show.

Daniel W. Smith, of 33182 Lake Shore Blvd., is charged with third-degree felony gross sexual imposition and third-degree misdemeanor sexual imposition. He is being held on a $100,000/10 percent cash or surety bond pending his May 10 pretrial/preliminary hearing.

If convicted of the felony count alone, Smith could get three years in prison.
