Sanju posters: Ranbir Kapoor is Sanjay Dutt’s doppelganger

After the teaser of Sanjay Dutt's biopic titled Sanju helmed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra was released, the film became a topic of discussion. To keep the buzz around the much-awaited biopic alive until it reaches the theatres on June 29, the makers have been releasing several posters of Sanju. In these posters, we see Ranbir in his various avatars representing different phases of Sanjay Dutt's life. Scroll through to see how closely the young actor resembles the Khalnayak of Bollywood.

On Friday, Rajkumar Hirani shared a poster of Sanju where we see Ranbir Kapoor dressed as Sanjay Dutt's character Munna Bhai from Hirani's 2003 hit movie Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. "It was a lot of nostalgia reliving a bit of Munnabhai in #Sanju. Here it is," wrote Hirani along with the poster.

The tumultuous phase of Sanjay Dutt's life--the 90s when the news of the actor's involvement in the 1993 bomb blasts of Mumbai started doing the rounds is a part of Sanju's narrative. The look of Ranbir from that phase came out on Thursday. Rajkumar Hirani shared the photograph and wrote, "Another one of Ranbir as #Sanju in the 90’s." In the poster, we see Ranbir donning a look similar to Dutt's look in his movie Khalnayak.

After completing his prison term following his conviction in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case, Sanjay Dutt walked out as a free man in February 2016. This look of Ranbir Kapoor is from that phase of Dutt's life.
