CRPF troopers nabbed 11 Maoists in Bastar in April

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in its April 2018 monthly action data has mentioned their troopers nabbed a total of 11 Maoists in the entire month during various operations in Bastar.

During the aforesaid period, the troopers also recovered 11 IEDs planted by Maoists across the Bastar region.

A total of 31 Maoists were nabbed by CRPF troopers in Bastar during the month of March this year, CRPF’s March data has revealed.

CRPF troopers involved in anti-insurgency operations in Bastar region had recovered a total of 17 IEDs including eight from Sukma district planted by Maoists during three months till March 2018.

A total of 78 IEDs were recovered by CRPF personnel weighing a total of 459 kgs as on April 6, 2017 during 2017-18 from insurgency hit pockets of Bastar region in Chhattisgarh, a data of Union Home Ministry had revealed.

CRPF troopers recovered 14 IEDs planted by Maoists with total weight of 82 kgs during its anti-insurgency operations in various districts of Bastar during the month of November last year, the CRPF monthly action data had informed.
