Vocational training for rural youth

Bankers Institute of Rural and Entrepreneurship Development is conducting a six-week free vocational training programmes for youths aged between 18 and 30 years from villages of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh between ages 18 years and 30 years from May 23 to July 7 in various aspects.

To be eligible for tailoring and fashion design, MS Office and beauty parlour management, applicants must have passed Class X, while for zardosi and maggam, the cut-off is Class VIII pass. The institute would provide boarding, hostel facility, training and lab facility apart from reimbursing a second class train fare from their respective native places.

Voluntary organisations, district youth services officers, banks and others were invited to sponsor candidates. Online enrolments would be open from May 1 to May 10, via www.bired.org, a press release by director A. Yesepu said.

Personality grooming

Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence of Ramakrishna Math is offering a personality development certificate course for youths (18-30 years) from April 29 to June 3 on Sundays from 5 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. Yoga, meditation and time management would be taught.
