‘New system will help in guiding emergency services to problem areas’

A team led by Google India Vice-President and Managing Director Rajan Anandan met Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday.

Mr. Rajan Anandan told the Chief Minister that they developed a new system called ‘plus codes’.

The new system would help in guiding emergency services to the problem locations.

“Google India has plans to launch the new system on a pilot basis in the State,” he said, and sought the cooperation of the government.

Responding to it, Mr. Naidu suggested him to integrate the system with the government policies.

Transparency

“Google can use Andhra Pradesh as a laboratory to test its new technologies and launches. The government will avail of the services of Google for bringing more transparency in governance,” Mr. Naidu said.

The government and Google would enter into an agreement soon on the ‘plus codes’.
