DUSU President Rocky Tuseed today said he has been sitting on an indefinite hunger strike for three days after he was denied entry to the Delhi University Foundation Day celebrations on May 1.
"I would not give up until and unless the Vice Chancellor agrees to hear my issues... and gives us a concrete assurance that actions would be taken on all issues concerning students, which I have been raising with him for the past eight months," Tuseed said in a statement.
On May 1, Tuseed alleged that security guards and Delhi Police personnel did not allow him in when he tried to enter the venue of 96th Foundation Day celebrations of the university.
He appealed to students and teachers to join him in the protest.
