Telangana Chief Minister and TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday declared that the agenda to bring a qualitative change in the country will be the driving force behind the proposed front of regional parties but it will not be confined only to the 2019 polls.

Addressing a media conference along with the former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav in Hyderabad on Wednesday KCR said the proposed Front will come before the people within next one and a half to two months.

Earlier Akhilesh Yadav, who flew in a special aircraft from Lucknow, had a detail discussion over lunch with KCR and other leaders of TRS on the political situation in the country.

The two leaders met at Pragat Bhavan, the official residence of Telangana Chief Minister. The meeting was part of KCR’s continuing efforts to bring together regional parties to build a third alternative or Federal Front. Earlier he had met Mamata Bannerji, Deve Gowda, M Karunanidhi and MK Stalin and Hemanth Soren to discuss the idea. Next week he was scheduled to meet Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

“I am convinced that if any body can stop the BJP it will be the regional parties and regional leaders”, Akhilesh Yadav said adding that his party SP supports the efforts of KCR to bring together all the regional and progressive parties together to provide an alternate to the people.

“You can not imagine to what extent the BJP has disappointed the people. They could not fulfill any promises they made to the people. They made promises to this State, neighboring states, many promises to UP and Bihar. Nothing happened on the ground. There is hardly any time left now, how the promises will be fulfilled”, he wondered.
