BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) on Wednesday sacked three staff members of a Keonjhar-Kolkata bus for allegedly forcing passengers to have dinner at a shady dhaba on the outskirts of Keonjhar on March 23.
"We have permanently removed two drivers - Rasananda Mohanta and Limita Mohanta - and a conductor, Nilamani Upadhyay, from service. Action was taken against them for carelessness and negligence of duty," a senior OSRTC officer said.

On April 26, TOI reported that an inquiry had been launched against the bus staff. The probe began after a Kolkata-based woman, who was travelling on the bus, emailed the transport department with a complaint.
