Three youths thrashed for lewd comments

Locals thrashed three youths for allegedly passing lewd comments at three college girls at Chhendipada in the district on Tuesday.

The incident occurred near an ATM under the Chhendipada police station, when the three youths passed comments at the girls when they were withdrawing money, sources said.

Even though the security guard of the ATM counter opposed the youths, they continued making obscene gestures at the girls. Later, irate locals captured the youths and thrashed them for passing vulgar comments at the girls.

On getting information, the Chhendipada police rushed to the spot and rescued the youths. They detained them and started investigation into the incident.
