Kerala SSLC result 2018 declared, 97.84% students pass: Live updates

Kerala SSLC result 2018: Kerala Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) or Class 10 board examination result will be declared on Thursday. According to the state Pareeksha Bhawan sources, the state education minister, professor C Ravindranath, will hold a press conference at 10.30 am to announce the result. Earlier, the time for declaration of the result was 3 pm. The time has been changed keeping in mind the availability of the minister.

10:17am: Kerala SSLS results in 30 minutes. All arrangements have been done, said State Pareeksha Bhawan.

10.20am: Education Minister Prof C Raveendrantha to hold a press conference in the state capital to announce results.

10.46am: Results declared, 97.84% students pass. The result websites may take some time to load due to heavy traffic. Students are advised to keep checking.

11.01am: Students can check their results directly by clicking here. Here’s how to check the result: Log on to result.kerala.gov.in and select result type. Enter your register no, date of birth and click on get result. The result will be displayed on the screen. Take a printout.

11.30am: The Kerala SSLC result pass percentage has gone up by 2% this year compared to 2017. The pass percentage was highest in Ernakulam district (99.12%) and lowest in Wayanad (93.87%).

11.40am: The minister said out of 4,41,482 students who appeared in the examination 4,31,162 qualified for the higher education.

12.15pm: At least 34,313 students scored A Plus in all subjects and 517 schools got A Plus in all subjects.

More than 4,40,000 students appeared for the Kerala Class 10 board examination. The process of evaluating the answer sheets of the exam, which began on March 4 and ended on March 27 this year, started in the first week of April.

Data from the directorate of public instructions (DPI) shows 441,103 regular students — 2,24,564 boys and 2,16,539 girls — from 3,046 schools across the state and 2,751 privately registered candidates appeared for the exam this year. Besides this, 1,300 students wrote the exam from Gulf countries and Lakshadweep.

Over 4,50,000 students appeared for the exam in 2017 and the overall pass percentage was 95.98%.
