Revenue for the quarter grew 22.7 percent YoY to Rs 27,630 crore from Rs 22,511 crore.
Vedanta reported a 34.3 percent year-on-year (YoY) jump in fourth quarter FY18 net profit at Rs 5,675 crore. The profit in Q4FY17 was Rs 4,225 crore.
Revenue for the quarter grew 22.7 percent YoY to Rs 27,630 crore from Rs 22,511 crore.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) grew 6.6 percent YoY to Rs 7,837 crore with EBITDA margin of 28.4 percent. EBITDA margin in Q4FY17 was 32.7 percent on EBITDA of Rs 7,350 crore.
There was an exceptional gain of Rs 2,869 crore during the quarter.
Aluminum business revenue grew 53.9 percent YoY to Rs 7,158 crore from Rs 4,652 crore in Q4 last year. EBIT of the business, however, declined 27 percent YoY to Rs 494 crore.
Revenue from Copper rose 10.5 percent YoY to Rs 7,518 crore from 6,803 crore in Q4FY17. Again, EBIT of the segment declined 6.4 percent to Rs 353 crore.
India zinc & lead revenue declined 9.2 percent to Rs 5,546 crore with EBIT falling 13.1 percent to Rs 2,560 crore.
