Game of Thrones season 8: Director spills all on Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen sex scene
GAME OF THRONES season eight will not air until 2019 but in the meantime, the cast and crew of the hit HBO series have been sharing behind-the-scenes secrets with fans. Now, director Jeremy Podeswa has spilled all on Jon Snow and Daenerys Tagaryen’s sex scene.
In the season seven finale, Jon Snow (played by Kit Harington) and Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) enjoyed a steamy romp as they made their way to Winterfell.
Viewers were left shocked by the moment as it occurred at the same time that Samwell Tarly (John Bradley) learned about Jon’s true parentage.
Speaking about the racy scene, Game of Thrones director Jeremy noted that the actors were both comfortable with each other in what could have been a very awkward situation.
He dished: “They are all amazing actors, and they really genuinely like each other, which makes it great to work together.”
“Kit and Emilia have natural chemistry,” Jeremy said of the finale, The Dragon and the Wolf.
“Filming their first sex scene together could have been awkward, but they are such good friends it all went smoothly,” he told Singapore’s The New Paper.
“Of course there were some awkward giggles.
“But we sat down and choreographed and discussed the scene before to make sure everyone was comfortable, so it was quick and easy.”
Jeremy went on to note that there were a number of key moments in the penultimate series which almost reduced him to tears.
“From the bigger scenes, like season seven’s final scene of the wall coming down, to the small scenes, just an interaction between two characters, like Cersei and Tyrion having a conversation after not meeting in a long time,” he explained.

Jeremy is not slated to be working on the eighth season so could not give details on what the future holds for Daenerys and Jon.
But one Game of Thrones star has hinted that they won’t end up on the Iron Throne together.
Nathalie Emmanuel, who stars as the Mother of Dragons’ right-hand woman, revealed who she’s like to see rule Westeros.
The actress is keen for Daenerys to take charge but with her character alongside her.
Could Jon be pushed to the side when his true parentage is revealed?

Speaking to Express.co.uk, she said: “As a fan and as a member of the show I want to see my girl on the throne.
“I want to see Daenerys on the throne. I definitely think she would make a good queen, she is a good queen and she has dragons and she has me.
“It’s like besties running the country I think that’s a really good idea.”
Dropping a hint about what fans can expect from the final season, she added: “I can’t say much but it’s going well and as far as I know everyone’s saying it’s going well so that’s good.”
Game of Thrones season 9 returns to Sky Atlantic and HBO in 2019.
