Water resources reservoir inaugurated in Dumari

In its constant endeavour to provide uninterrupted water supply and sewerage infrastructure and to keep pace with the growing water demands in Amra, north Kulgo and south Kulgo Panchayts in Dumari block in Giridih district, Dumari MLA,Jagarnath Mahto  and Body member Yasoda Devi jointly on Wednesday inaugurated three water resources tanks at Dumari block .

The total cost of this project is Rs 15 crores and is excepted to complete in coming 2020 .

The water supply system will be operated by the water resources department base on latest technology, they said .

The Jamunia river drinking water resources system -a first of its kind project on based on rainwater harvesting in the Dumari block .

The project was dedicated to the all residents of three Panchayts by Dumari MLA, Jagarnath Mahto.

While inaugurating the project MLA ,Jagarnath Mahto said ,the people of all three Panchayts have suffered due to scarcity of water in the their villages .

I feel very proud that we have come up with such a sustainable way for supplying water in the region .

The recharge structure is utilising water from the sub-surface of Jamunia river ,without disturbing the main flow of the river water. 

The water gathered into three tanks well in then filtered and distributed to the villages through the robust piping network of almost the villages.

The water resources tanks will cater to over all villages in the three Panchayts namely Amra ,north Kulgo and south Kulgo.

The project has invested Rs 15 crores in this water resources tank and system to provide safe drinking water to the people.
