Ruth (Oster) Stryczek, of Hopewell Township, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at the age of 84. Ruth was born on July 14, 1933, in Aliquippa, a daughter of the late Charles J. and Wilda K. Oster. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter S. Stryczek, and two sisters, Arlene Goll and Shirley Corona. Ruth was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a retired teacher from the Aliquippa School District. Ruth is survived by her two children, Mark Stryczek and Lisa (Stryczek) Zierden; a son-in-law, Michael Zierden; along with granddaughters, Anna and Audrey Zierden; and a brother, Charles E. (Bud) Oster. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in DARROCH CREMATION AND FUNERAL TRIBUTES INC., 2640 Mill St., Aliquippa, www.darrochfuneralhome.com, where a funeral service will be conducted on Friday at 11 a.m. Private entombment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
