The first season of ABC’s The Crossing premiered in April this year.

The thrilling new series airs on the American channel and also streams on Hulu in the states.

UK viewers can watch the series on Amazon Prime where new episodes drop weekly.

There is no word yet on whether ABC plans to renew the thriller for a second run but it’s still early days.

While warmly received by critics, the show’s ratings have not been that high.

When will The Crossing season 2 be released?

If the series is renewed for a second run soon it could potentially be released next year.

Season one began filming in July 2017 and wrapped up in November the same year.

So if season two begins production this summer it could again be slated for a spring release, with April 2019 being a definite possibility.

There are still two episodes yet to air of the first run, however, so it could be a while yet before a second run is greenlit.

The final two episodes of season two have yet to air, so the plot of a potential second season will depend on whatever happens next.

The thrilling series has been likened to Lost and is full of unexpected twists and turns which make it difficult to predict.

Season two would likely see the return of Steve Zahn in the lead role of Sheriff Jude Ellis.

Expect to return also are Natalie Martinez as Reece and Sandrine Holt as Agent Emma Ren.
