Fire breaks out in a bus in Motihari

At least 27 people were killed and several others injured after a fire broke out in a bus in Bihar's Motihari, news agency ANI reported on Thursday.

The incident happened after the bus met with an accident and overturned thereafter, triggering a fire incident in the vehicle.

Death toll is expected to rise further. 

Meanwhile, Bihar Disaster Management and Relief Minister announced compensation of Rs 4 lakh each for the kin of the deceased persons. 

"It is a really sad incident. There is a provision to give compensation of Rs 4 lakh to the next of kin of dead in such cases and it will be given," he said.
