HARLINGEN — Forecasters have issued a small craft advisory for the Laguna Madre and gulf waters until 4 p.m. today.
Hazardous southeast winds will increase over the course of the day, creating choppy to rough waters in the bay and seas seven to eight feet in the gulf.
Winds today will blow from 20 to 25 knots before they begin to ebb late this afternoon.
The advisory zone covers the mouth of the Rio Grande to Baffin Bay.
