Arjun Kapoor visits bride-to-be Sonam Kapoor, their video captures the wedding prep

With Sonam Kapoor’s marriage to Delhi-based businessman Anand Ahuja confirmed on May 8, it seems the entire Kapoor family is in prep mode. On Wednesday night, filmmaker and sister of Sonam Kapoor, Rhea, shared a video on Instagram where Arjun Kapoor is seen visiting Sonam with sister Anshula. Arjun is Sonam’s first cousin.

Rhea’s Instagram story is straight from hub of all the activities in the Kapoor household. We see Arjun standing at the door in a room full of cousin sisters (we couldn’t spot another guy). A voice (we presume it is Rhea’s) asks him: “What are you saying, Chaach?” To which he replies, “It’s like I am watching Dheere Dheere getting live. The reality... Like aur kitne tareefan chahiye tainu? Sonu, you are not even listening, you not interested.”

Amid much laughter, we heard another female voice saying, “No, no... I am just figuring something out.” That sounds like Sonam. Amidst all this, Anshula, Arjun’s kid sister walks up to him as if they are preparing to leave.

Sonam will be marrying her long-time beau Anand on May 8. The media has been speculating about it for a long time but the issue was finally settled when a joint statement released by both the families on Tuesday. It said, “The Kapoor and Ahuja families take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam and Anand. The wedding will take place on the May 8 in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family’s need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love as we celebrate this special moment in our lives.”

It was earlier said that the 32-year-old actor will tie the knot at a relative’s heritage bungalow in Bandstand, Mumbai. It was also said that the reception will take place at a five-star hotel owned by her close friend.

This is quite in contrast to reports of lavish Switzerland or London wedding that has been doing the rounds of media for long. Rubbishing such reports, the Khoobsurat actor had said, “I’d rather have a wedding at home than anywhere else. I think it’s important to do all the rituals, but I don’t believe in spending all that money, I find it disgusting and very wasteful, and I’m not okay with that at all.”

Anand Ahuja is a Delhi-based businessman. His family is in the apparel manufacturing business. He owns a brand called Bhane.
