(Found) Cedar Rapids Police request help in locating missing person

Update 3:50 p.m.: – According a new release from the Cedar Rapids Police Department, Ralph Rhiner was located "a short time ago" in Minneapolis.  He was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to the release.

The Cedar Rapids Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing elderly man.

Ralph Rhiner, 82, of Cedar Rapids, was reported missing from his northwest side residence.

He is described as a male, 5 feet 7 inches, weighs 180 pounds and has gray hair and blue eyes.

According a news release from the Cedar Rapids Police Department, Rhiner was last seen on Wednesday morning driving a silver 2008 Toyota RAV4 with Iowa license plate ONTWO12.

Rhiner’s family said he has a medical condition that may cause confusion, according to the news release.

The news release stated investigators have information that Rhiner may have stopped at a Casey’s General Store in Iowa Falls at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, but local law enforcement in that area was unable to locate Rhiner or his vehicle.

The Cedar Rapids Police Department is asking anyone with information about Rhiner’s whereabouts to contact local law enforcement or the Cedar Rapids Police Department at (319) 286-5491.
