FALL RIVER — A Somerset woman was recently arrested on charges of selling narcotics outside the Department of Transitional Assistance in Fall River.

Sandy M. Cumiskey, 41, of 3077 Riverside Ave., is alleged to have sold Alprazolam pills to a man she met after she walked outside the DTA office, which is where people go to get public cash assistance and SNAP benefits.

A confidential informant told Detective Richard Aguiar, a member of the Fall River Police Department's Vice and Intelligence Unit, that Cumiskey would be outside the building last Thursday selling pills to get money for heroin, according to court documents.

Cumiskey was released on personal recognizance after being arraigned last Friday in Fall River District Court. She is scheduled to return to court for a pretrial hearing on May 30.
