BOSTON — Partners HealthCare has announced the appointment of former Fall River resident Rosemary R. Sheehan as its new Chief Human Resources Officer.

As CHRO, Sheehan will be responsible for developing and executing a human resource strategy in support of the overall strategic direction of Partners HealthCare, in areas including talent management and acquisition, change management, workforce training and development among others. She previously served as vice president of revenue cycle operations for Partners, where she was responsible for the full range of operations supporting the processing of $12 billion in revenue. Sheehan was also responsible for the operational implementation of the Epic administrative system and co-led the Partners Patient Engagement Committee.

Prior to her role in Revenue Cycle Operations, she served as executive director of the Professional Billing Office at Massachusetts General Physicians Organization. In addition, she serves on the board for Connance and previously was a board member of Healthcare Finance Management Association.

Prior to her career at Partners, Rose served as director of Caritas Norwood Hospital, where she focused on physician practice management. Sheehan received her master’s degree in business administration from F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business and her bachelor’s degree from Assumption College.
