All donations towards the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and the National Defence Fund(NDF) are notified for 100% deduction from taxable income under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act,1961

Science and Technology Minister Harsh Vardhan has called for increased use of science to solve the problems of the common man in different areas.

Addressing a function in New Delhi, Mr Vardhan pointed out several challenges in areas like agriculture and transport.

The Minister said science and technology can solve the problems of these sectors. He said the government has taken several initiatives to boost science and technology in the past few years in the country.

Mr Vardhan said India is not far behind in the world in the area of science and technology.
