Two people lose their lives in separate crashes in regional WA

Police are investigating two overnight car crashes in regional WA which claimed the lives of two men.

One of the fatalities occurred in Paynedale near Donnybrook, late on Tuesday night or in the early hours of Wednesday.

Police say a green Ford Falcon sedan travelling along Goodwood Road, near Upper Capel Road left the road and struck several trees.

One man died at the scene and another man in his 20s was treated at Bunbury Hospital with minor injuries.

Major crash officers are also investigating a fatal crash in Quairading on Tuesday night.

The crash happened just before 9pm when a maroon 2003 model Ford Fairmont sedan travelling north on Hayes Road, lost control and hit a tree.

The sole occupant of the car, a 26-year-old man from Toodyay, died at the scene.
