A pair of Hawken student-athletes in the Class of 2018 will continue their baseball pursuits at the college level.

Hawken catcher/pitcher Eli Ehrbar signed with Ithaca College and outfielder/pitcher Jimmy Clark signed with Kenyon College during a ceremony at Hawken on April 25.

Clark was a second team News-Herald All-Star in 2017 after he batted .457 with three home runs and 28 RBI. He also earned first team all-district and all-CVC honors. This season, Clark leads the Hawks with 26 strikeouts.

Off the field, Clark owns a 3.8 grade-point average and is a National Merit Finalist.

Kenyon College is located in Gambier, Ohio. The Lords are a Division III NCAA program and compete in the North Coast Athletic Conference.

Ehrbar leads Hawken with 22 RBI this season. He earned All-CVC recognition as a sophomore and junior for his work behind the plate, which included Evan Faxon’s no-hitter in 2017.

At Ithaca, Ehrbar plans to major in sports media.

Ithaca College is located in Ithaca, N.Y. The D-III Bombers are members of the Empire 8.

Ehrbar and Clark join classmates Quinn Orloff and Danny Murphy as Hawken seniors signed to play college baseball. Orloff will play at Drew University, and Murphy is headed to Toledo.
