NRL power rankings: Eels off the bottom, Warriors stumble
1. St George Illawarra Dragons (Last Week: 1): Cruising at the top of the ladder and were far too good for the Roosters on Anzac Day.
2. New Zealand Warriors (2): An abysmal showing last week, but they get a host of talent back for their massive clash with the Tigers.
3. Melbourne Storm (6): Any talk of the Storm's demise has quietened as they absolutely ran riot on Anzac Day. They're back, if they were ever gone.
4. Penrith Panthers (5): Quietly humming along and up to second on the table - James Maloney looks the signing of the season already.
5. Wests Tigers (4): A rough loss to take against Parramatta, as the Tigers threw away chance after chance on Sunday.
6. South Sydney Rabbitohs (3): A brilliant first half against the Broncos but didn't get ahead by enough, and then didn't come out of the sheds after the break.
7. Brisbane Broncos (9): Their best win of the season as they proved too strong for Souths, led by a host of young forwards.
8. Cronulla Sharks (8): Just did enough to scrape past the Titans, but it's all starting to come together for Cronulla after a brutal opening few weeks on the schedule.
9. Newcastle Knights (10): Five wins and three losses is a superb record, but it's hard to trust them going forward without Mitchell Pearce. Big test on Friday against Souths.
10. Sydney Roosters (7): One of the pre-season favourites continues to flounder - they looked lost on Anzac Day and if they can't put a score on Manly, it's time to start asking questions.
11. Canberra Raiders (13): A big win up north for a team that has struggled in Townsville historically, losing their last nine in a row. Suddenly their awful start seems a world away.
12. North Queensland Cowboys (12): Equal last and looking old and sluggish - you're still backing them to turn it around, but how many more weeks can we give them?
13. Gold Coast Titans (11): Really struggling to put together any cohesive moves in attack, taking several steps backwards in the last couple of weeks.
14. Parramatta Eels (16): Well, would you look at that? Two straight wins for Brad Arthur's men and they can get off the bottom of the ladder this weekend.
15. Canterbury Bankstown-Bulldogs (14): Another disjointed attacking performance last week and now a tough trip to Lang Park awaits.
16. Manly Sea Eagles (15): The off-field issues have only served to highlight just how poor they've been on the field as well - can they turn it around?
