The U.S. Army Robotics Team will be at Kishwaukee College at 11:30 a.m. Monday for a demonstration of the latest technology used by the military. The demonstration will take place in Parking Lot B/North Lot at the college. This event is free and open to the public.

The U.S. Army has a fleet of “adventure trucks,” semi-trailer trucks that are fully outfitted with the latest technology used by Army personnel in the field, that tour the country.

The program is a way for the Army to enhance general awareness about modern military service, as well as educate the public on the wide range of training and careers available in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering and math) in the military.

The Robotics Team offers a combination of hands-on and interactive systems, including the Small Unmanned Ground Vehicle and Unmanned Aerial Systems. Participants will have an opportunity to navigate and operate the robots in a contained environment.
