Vladimir Golovatiuk: The policy of authorities led to the fact that in Moldova the poor are poorer, and the rich are getting richer
At the May Day demonstrations, people demanded respect and respect for their basic rights. In the USSR it was strange for us to hear that in the capitalist world, in the Western countries, workers are struggling for their rights. But now in Moldova we are forced to struggle in such a way. Today, enterprises and kindergartens are being closed, schools and health facilities are being optimized, employment is being reduced. Hundreds of thousands of people are deprived of sources of live, they are thrown out of the labor market and forced to leave their homeland in search of earnings, and almost half of the working population is deprived of minimum guaranteed rights," the economist complained.

An uneasy situation has developed with officially employed citizens. So, according to Golovatyuk, Prime Minister Pavel Filip talks about an average salary of 6,000 lei, but 70% of citizens have no such earnings.

Those who feed us and teach our children, the salary is less than the average by a third. As a result of the wage policy that has been implemented over the past two years, the number and percentage of those who receive the maximum wage doubled, and the number of those receiving a lower average salary has also increased. This means that the poor –are poorer, and the rich - get richer. There is a wild polarization, the middle class, which is the core of society, practically disappeared in the country”, - the economist explained.

Speaking about the closure of enterprises, Golovatyuk stressed that this was not the fault of businessmen themselves, but the government and its destructive policies. Summing up, Golovatyuk expressed hope that Moldovan citizens would have enough strength to struggle for their rights, and expressed confidence that together with President Igor Dodon and the Party of Socialists, everything would turn out for better.
