Paul George Trimpe died Monday, April 30, 2018, at Highland Ridge Care Center, Williamsburg, at the age of 100 years.
He is survived by his son, Allen (Carol) Trimpe of Shawnee, Kan.; two daughters, Sharon (Warren) Pillard of Keokuk and Shirley (Rev. Thomas) Brazinsky of Baroda, Mich.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Ida Strunk of Williamsburg, Viola Lemon of Davenport and Luella Barnes of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded by his parents; his wife; three brothers, Arnold Trimpe, Alfred Trimpe and Raymond Trimpe; and four sisters, Ruth Koehn, Edna Wetjen, Lorena Moennich and Esther Huedepohl.
Celebration of Life service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. Pastor Tom Ogilvie will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Williamsburg. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. A VFW service will be held at 7 p.m.
Memorials may be given to Lutheran Interparish School or St. Paul Lutheran Church.
