Man attempts suicide at Surat police commissionerate, announced it in advance on FB

SURAT: A 35-year-old diamond polisher attempted suicide in the waiting lounge at ground floor of the city police commissioner office on Wednesday alleging cheating of Rs 5 lakh by a property developer. He consumed phenyl, he was later shifted to New Civil Hospital (NCH). He took the step following alleged police inaction and claimed in a written application that he has been framed in false police cases.
He levelled serious allegations against police in the application, copy of which TOI possess. The man also posted a message ‘Chello Divas’ – Last Day, on his facebook wall. His condition is out of danger, according to NCH doctors.

Vijay Savani, a resident of Puna, arrived at the police commissioner office at around 11 am and consumed phenyl inside the waiting lounge on ground floor. He believed to have come to submit the application to the police commissioner office but before submitting the application he took the extreme step.
