College students in Hry to be entrusted task of cleanliness of village ponds

today launched 'Sahyog Club', where engineering and polytechnic colleges students of the state would be registered as its members and entrusted the task of development and cleanliness of village ponds.

While addressing the entrepreneurs of the state at the inauguration of 'I Tech' (Industry Technical Excellence Changing Haryana) organised at a government polytechnic, Manesar in district, he said that the students would visit the ponds and assist the concerned in the state.

He urged the entrepreneurs to train the youth of the state as per their industrial requirement so that they could avail maximum employment opportunities, an official release said here.

The assured that the government would facilitate in-creation of more employment opportunities for the youth and would make every effort to bridge the gap in providing skilled youth to the industry.

The has initiated various schemes to enhance their skill including 'Saksham Rozgar Yojna' under which every unemployed youth are given 100 hours of work for three years, and honorarium of Rs 9,000 and Rs 7,500 is being given to them as per their qualifications, he said.

The said that till now, 35,000 to 40,000 youths have benefitted from this scheme.

said that the government accepts that there are around four to five lakh unemployed youth in the state and providing jobs to them is the biggest challenge.

About two lakh youth are unemployed every year in the state but government jobs are only available to 20,000 people, he said, adding that therefore, there is a dire need to develop the skill of these youth.

He said that the has recently advertised 54,000 government jobs. Apart from this, the process of inviting applications for 38,000 grade-D jobs is also in progress.
