DeKALB – A threat made by a Huntley Middle School student via social media Wednesday was determined by DeKalb Police to have no credibility, according to Principal Amonaquenette Parker.

In a robocall sent out Tuesday morning, Parker said other students brought the social media post to light, and that staff commends the students for their actions. She added that DeKalb Police said there is no imminent danger.

"We are working with the family of this student and the DeKalb Police Department as they investigate this issue," Parker said. "The district office is aware, and as always has joined our efforts to ensure the safety of all of our students."

Clinicians have also been made available for any students that may have been emotionally impacted by the event.
