Pins Mechanical Co.'s successful venture in Dublin's Bridge Park development has helped persuade the business' owners to open a 16-Bit Bar+Arcade there as well.
Bridge Park is a growing community that aligns with Pins Mechanical and 16-Bit, said Kim Miller, spokeswoman for Rise Brands, a company with headquarters in Columbus that owns 16-Bit Bar+Arcade and Pins Mechanical Co.
The district is a good fit for Rise Brands, because of its location, vibrancy and the way the area helps bring together people with living spaces, retail, food and entertainment options, Miller said.
"Dublin has been overwhelmingly welcoming of our Pins concept and we wanted to expand the guest experience with a 16-Bit," Miller said.
The Dublin location would open in late summer. Miller would not disclose what Rise Brands will be spending on the bar venture.
16-Bit, which has locations in Cleveland, Cincinnati and Columbus, at 254 S. 4th Street, is looking to open at 6564 Riverside Drive in Dublin's Bridge Park district, according to a development application received April 17 by the city's administrative review team.
The new location reportedly would create more than 40 new jobs, according to Rise Brands.
The bar would be just north of Pins, which also features arcade games and duck-pin bowling, and in the same building, according to a press release. 16-Bit reportedly will feature 40 classic arcade cabinets with additional games rotating on and off the floor.
"Pins has been a huge hit here at Bridge Park, and we can't wait for 16-Bit Bar+Arcade to add to the vibrancy of the district," Crawford Hoying principal Brent Crawford said in a written statement.
"Rise Brands continues to open concepts that resonate with the communities we develop, and we couldn't be happier with our continued partnership with the Rise team," Crawford said.
The Dublin community has embraced Bridge Park, with its entertainment options such as Pins and Vaso atop the AC Hotel Dublin, said Ted Orr, director of development experience for Crawford Hoying.
"16-Bit is the perfect addition with its arcade games and vibrant atmosphere," Orr said.
