Advertisement boards on Tangedco poles removed

The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (Tangedco) staff removed hundreds of advertisement boards from its poles on Mettupalayam Road, and Vellakinar-Saravanampatti stretch on Monday, said Chief Engineer of Tangedco, Coimbatore region, N. Mani.

Those on street light poles have not been removed.

M. Devendran, secretary of Coimbatore district road protection committee, said volunteers have been removing advertisement boards and nails from trees, and roadside poles.
