CM extends Intl’ Labour Day greetings

Chief Minister  Raman Singh on Tuesday greeted the workers of the State on the International Labour Day (May Day).

He assured the workers that the State Govt is committed to their welfare and betterment.

In a message, Singh mentioned that the contribution of the labour is significant in the development of any society. The agriculture fields sway because of hard work of this class, industries produce consumer goods, roads are widened, railway tracks are laid and  tall structures are constructed. Several welfare measures had been implemented during the past 14 years.

He added that the wages of Tendu patta collectors had been hiked to Rs  2, 500 from the previous Rs 1, 800.

Thirteen lakh workers belonging to the unorganised sector had been registered and cycles and sewing machines had been provided.
