SANDWICH – An 83-year-old Sandwich man suffered injuries that were not life-threatening Tuesday afternoon when his wife accidentally ran him over with their truck, according to a news release from the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
The release said David Stahl, of the 15400 block of Chicago Road, was picking up trash in the north ditch alongside Chicago Road west of East Sandwich Road when his wife, Sandra Stahl, who was following him in their 2004 Dodge Dakota pickup, accidentally ran him over.
Deputies responded about 1:38 p.m. and found David Stahl in the ditch behind the truck. The release said he was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, where he was treated for his injuries.
