Rice basmati falls on muted demand

In restricted activity, prices drifted down by Rs 100 per at the wholesale grains market today on subdued demand against adequate stocks position.

However, other grains remained flat in thin trade.

Traders said sluggish demand against ample stocks positions, mainly led to decline in prices.

In the national capital, common and Pusa-1121 variety fell by Rs 100 each to Rs 7,200-7,300 and Rs 6,500-6600 per respectively.
