A dream star cast has come together for master director Mani Ratnam on his new film, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam. A picture from the sets of the film has gone viral on Twitter in which we can see Simbu lovingly feeding food to his co-star Vijay. The two of them are all smiles in the picture and the bromance has got fans of both the actors excited.

Also seen in the picture is Simbu’s scar on his forehead.

Vijay is speculated to play the role of a cop and his role is expected to be an extended cameo. Could this be the actor’s final look, in the film?

More pictures from the sets have been shared on social media by cinematographer Santosh Sivan and other stars as well.

While the male cast members’ pictures are being shared heavily on social media, Jyothika and Aishwarya Rajesh’s characters remain a mystery. They are expected to begin work on the film soon.

The movie has music scored by Ratnam’s favourite composer AR Rahman and the film is produced under his home banner, Madras Talkies. The team resumed shooting on April 25 after the 48-day long strike finally ended.

The film also stars actors Prakash Raj and Jayasudha in pivotal roles. The film is expected to release in the later part of 2018 provided the shoot is completed on time.
