TNEA 2018: nine facilitation centres in central region

Will help rural applicants who have no access to Internet facility

Nine TFCs (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions Facilitation Centres) will start functioning from May 3 across the central districts to guide rural applicants who have no access to Internet facility.

They are among the 42 TFCs formed in the State to facilitate the rural students to carry out registration process.

Others could register through the official TNEA portal from anywhere through the Internet, according to the instructions issued by Anna University. After registration, the applicants will be assigned random numbers.

The TFCs will subsequently verify their original certificates against the data furnished for registration. The rural students will also be shown videos explaining the methodology of using TNEA portal during various stages of counselling.

The nine TFCs in the seven Central districts: Ariyalur: University College of Engineering, Kathankudikadu; Karur: Government Arts College, Bharathidasan Nagar Road, Thanthonimalai; Perambalur: Government Polytechnic College, Keelakanavai; Pudukottai: Government Polytechnic College, Avudaiyar Kovil Road, Aranthangi; Thanjavur: University College of Engineering, Pattukottai, and Government College of Engineering, Gandharvakottai Road, Sengipatti; Tiruchi: University College of Engineering, BIT Campus, and Government College of Engineering, Srirangam; Nagapattinam: University College of Engineering, Thirukkuvalai.
