Facebook Inc. said Tuesday that Jan Koum will be leaving its board, a day after the WhatsApp co-founder said he was leaving as chief executive of the messaging service.
Mr. Koum gave no reason for leaving WhatsApp in a Facebook post Monday. The move follows the departure last year of fellow WhatsApp co-founder Brian Acton, who has since been publicly critical of the social-media giant.
