MYSURU: A day after
pre-university (PU) exam results were announced, a teenager who had failed in exams had ended life by hanging at her residence in west Mysuru on Tuesday.
Her parents had gone to church in the morning when the girl took the drastic step, said VV Puram police.
Inspector CH Ramakrishnaiah told TOI that Gloria Richard was found hanging from ceiling fan when her parents reached their residence in Gokulam III stage around 8 in the morning. Her parents had gone to church to attend a service at 7am but before they returned she had ended her life using a saree.
Gloria studied at a private college on Hunsur road. She had failed in two subjects. She was science student. PU results were announced on April 30.
According to police, she was the only daughter to her parents.
