2019 Ram 1500 Kentucky Derby Truck Now Taking Bets

Limited edition ride ready for the 144th Run for the Roses

Just in time for this weekend’s big race—Ram introduces its Kentucky Derby Truck. We bet you didn’t see that one coming.

The super special edition is limited to 2,000 trucks and features exclusive “Kentucky Derby Run for the Roses” bed graphics.

It is based on the top Limited trim and celebrates the marque’s ninth year as “Official Truck of Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby.”

The day before the race a pink-wrapped Ram 3500 Heavy Duty Limited dually will lead the Kentucky Oaks Survivors Parade, a symbolic march of 144 breast and ovarian cancer survivors at Churchill Downs.

“With the introduction of the 2019 Ram 1500 Kentucky Derby Edition, Ram celebrates the tireless work ethic of those who make it to the starting gate at the Derby and recognizes that there can be no compromises when it comes to winning the race,” said Mike Manley, Ram head, in a statement.

“The all-new is symbolic of all of those qualities, as we introduce what we feel is the best truck in the market—the strongest, most capable, most technologically advanced, and most luxurious Ram truck ever.”

The special edition truck retails for $57,325 and is available in six flavors—new Ivory White Tri Coat, Delmonico Red, Diamond Black Crystal, Granite Crystal, Max Steel, and Patriot Blue in 4 x 2 or 4 x 4 Crew Cab configurations.

Under the hood, a 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 making 395 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Mint julep season and the 144th Kentucky Derby kicks off Saturday, May 5.
