'Sila Samayangalil' to be premiered on Netflix

The makers have decided to release Sila Samayangalilon the popular streaming platform Netflix. It’s well known that the theater owners are against the idea of directly releasing films on alternative platforms and we have to wait and see how they are going to react to this move by Priyadarshan, director Vijay, and Isari Ganesh, the producer of the film.

But the point to be noted here is Sila Samayangalil is a small film so theater owners wouldn’t mind the direct release but a section in the industry say that this is just the beginning, many small critically acclaimed films will be directly made available for the niche audiences who regularly use Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hotstar.

Sila Samayangalil has Prakash Raj, Sriya Reddy and Ashok Selvan in the lead roles. Ilaiyaraaja has scored the music for the film, which entered the final round of selection for the 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards.
