Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and National Defence Fund(NDF)

All donations towards the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and the National Defence Fund(NDF) are notified for 100% deduction from taxable income under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act,1961

The Finance Ministry today said, the revenue collection from Goods and Services Tax (GST) exceeded 1 lakh crore rupees in April this year. This is the first occasion that the monthly revenue has breached the 1 trillion milestone.

The gross GST revenue collected in April came at 1,03,458 crore rupees. Of this, Central GST (CGST) is 18,652 crore rupees and state GST (SGST) 25,704 crore rupees. The Integrated GST (IGST) came at 50,548 crore while cess accounted for 8,554 crore rupees.

The Finance Ministry said, the buoyancy in the tax revenue of GST reflects the upswing in the economy and better compliance.
