Country track and field stars shone bright on Monday as the annual Tuscarawas County Classic was held at Woody Hayes Quaker Stadium in New Philadelphia.

All nine county schools were involved with many impressive performances taking place.

For the boys, the individual winners were New Philadelphia's LJ Lowery in the 200 (23.08) and 400 (50.86), New Philadelphia's Aidan Harr in the 1,600 (4:26.49) and 3,200 (9:54.49), Indian Valley's Zack Love in the 110 hurdles (new meet record of 11.93) and 300 hurdles (40.85), New Philadelphia's Jelani Walker in the 100 (11.27), New Philadelphia's Gabe Ernest in the 800 (2:01.02), New Philadelphia's Storm Elsesser in the high jump (6-2), Newcomerstown's Hunter Garretson in the pole vault (15-0), Claymont's Blake Linard in the shot (50-10.5) and discus (140-2) and Claymont's Xavier Grant in the long jump (20-7).

Claymont's Grant, C.J. Watters, Hunter Hershberger and Devaun Gamble won the 400 relay (44.66), while New Philadelphia's Walker, Elsesser, Sam Zemis and Tyler Ripley claimed the 800 relay (1:32.55) and New Philadelphia's Nick Schaffner, Elsesser, Caden Richmond and Lowery was first in the 1,600 relay (3:28.36).

For the girls, the individual winners were Tusky Valley's Madi DeBos in the 1,600 (meet record time of 5:09.62), 3,200 (11:28.7) and pole vault (10-6), New Philadelphia's Angie Wallick in 100 (12.96) and 200 (27.04), Garaway's Carly Jacobs in the 100 hurdles (15.48) and 300 hurdles (46.24), Dover's Willow Cox in the 400 (1:02.39), Indian Valley's Kitanna Rakestraw in the high jump (5-2) and long jump (16-11.5), New Philadelphia's Rachel Anderson in the 800 (school record time of 2:20.12), Indian Valley's Ashton Warner in the shot (37-0) and Dover's Grace Wallace in the discus (108-6)

Tusky Valley's Ashley Kinsey, Jadyn Kuykendall, Kennedy Willis and Caylin Knous won the 400 relay (52.61), while Dover's Whitney Ward, Cox, Toni Denmark and Meredith Lehman claimed the 800 relay (1:50.35) and the Tornado foursome of Jordyn Kiser, Cox, Raya Harrison and Ward won the 1,600 relay (4:14.55).
