Revised charges for entry and other services to come into force from today

Citizens need to pay more to enter the Indira Gandhi Zoological Park from Tuesday as the entry fee and other prices for the services available at the zoo have been increased, curator R. Yesoda Bai has said.

The gate entrance fee for an adult has been increased from the existing ₹20 to ₹ 50 while the same for a child (3-12 years) remains the same (₹10).

The four-wheeler or bus entry fee has been enhanced from ₹250 to ₹ 500. The fee for still camera has been increased from ₹20 to ₹ 30.

Similarly, now the visitors have to pay ₹50 per adult towards the battery-operated vehicle charges for 90 minutes while the same has been increased from ₹10 to ₹30 per child.

Safari and parking charges

For a 30-minute lion or herbivores safari and the proposed white tiger safari, the revised charges will be ₹50 per adult and ₹30 per child. The revised parking fee at the zoo park is ₹10 for two-wheeler, ₹ 30 for four-wheeler or auto-rickshaw, ₹ 50 for mini bus or tempo and ₹2 for bicycle. The entry ticket fee for a bicycle will be ₹100 whereas the hiring charges for a bicycle within the zoo premises will be ₹25 per hour.

Concession

However, there will be a 10 % concession for students (classes 1 to 10) of government schools and free entry facility will be extended to differently-abled persons and students of tribal welfare schools.
