The match is important for both the sides as they are in the lower half of the points table --- RCB at seventh and MI at sixth, both having four points. (RCB vs MI IPL 2018 LIVE SCORES)

Mumbai are coming off an inspirational victory against Chennai Super Kings in their previous match while RCB have endured two back-to-back losses at home.

RCB will miss AB de Villiers for the second match in succession as the South African is yet to recover from viral fever. In fact, both of RCB’s wins have come thanks to AB’s brilliant batting. His absence will affect the hosts’ batting as they face an MI bowling which is much better and incisive than KKR who beat RCB in the previous game.

RCB have made one change from the team that played KKR on Sunday --- Washington Sundar back in place of Murugan Ashwin.

For MI, Kieron Pollard returns in place of fellow West Indian Evin Lewis.
