Asked about Mumbai's good track record of beating RCB, Yadav said teams are completely different and hence the fight also will be different. Asked what has been the talk in the dressing room after the team lost five games, Yadav said it has been positive because the tournament is not yet over.  "We took the five losses in our stride than thinking about them. We won the last game against CSK and gained momentum, and we would like to continue with it going forward," he said. Replying to a query, Yadav said his team is having a better net run-rate than RCB, but winning is important because it gets two vital points to surge ahead.

Mumbai Indians' highest run-getter this IPL season, Suryakumar Yadav, on Monday said his captain Rohit Sharma is likely to bat higher up the order in the coming games. Rohit, coming in at number three, hit a match-winning 56 against Chennai Super Kings in Pune on Saturday, raising hopes of the team's comeback. "It is his and team management's decision to come down the order. May be he wants to take more responsibility by playing till the end. But, he has been performing at all numbers - at one-down or two-down. In the last game, he came up and shouldered the responsibility. Obviously, in coming games we can see more of it," he told reporters on the eve of the RCB-MI encounter.

Even as the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League moves closer to the business end, the mid-season transfer window is here. For a first in the gentleman’s game, franchises can bring in new players and also offload those who haven’t been in the scheme of things. The auction window last from Match 28 till Match 42. Speaking to CricketNext, a senior BCCI official said that while it was a football-like process, it would help youngsters who have been part of teams, but haven’t got games yet. But only those capped players who have played less than two games are allowed to be a part of the transfer window. This is a first and could be an interesting twist to the tale as often we have seen that youngsters have been picked in the IPL by franchises, but they don’t get an opportunity to play. But this window can help some teams who have had misfiring capped players, going for some of the youngsters who have the potential to change course of games.”

The hosts, on the other hand, have to get their act together and Kohli would hope his team can get it right against Mumbai. They missed star South African batsman AB de Villiers in the last game due to a flu. The South African star has been in prime form this season, smashing 68 off 30 balls against CSK and singlehandedly defeating Delhi Daredevils with his unbeaten 39-ball 90. Kohli is also getting back in form after hitting 92 and 68 against Mumbai and KKR, respectively. Opener Quinton De Kock, who has scored 194 runs so far, would like to carry on with his good performance.

For Rohit's side, except Suryakumar Yadav, who has 274 runs under his belt in seven matches as an opener, others have been inconsistent. Rohit also needs to find form as the India opener has struggled to get past 20 in five games. Big hitting West Indian all-rounder Keiron Pollard, in his twilight years, has been out of form and was dropped in the last game. Jean-Paul Dumminy, who came in for Pollard in the last game, would be itching to be in the thick of things. Coming to the Pandya brothers -- Hardik and Krunal -- who have been good in their bowling would like to get big knocks with the bat as they have managed to score just 61 and 113 runs respectively in seven-odd matches they have played. Mumbai will again bank on young spinner Mayank Markande, who has so far bagged 10 wickets from seven games with his leg-spin, to deliver the goods.

Hello and welcome to the LIVE coverage between RCB and MI. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will look to get back to winning ways when they take on Mumbai Indians (MI) who have gathered pace after their win in the last game, when the two sides cross swords in an Indian Premier League (IPL) game on Tuesday. Mumbai beat in-form Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Pune in their previous encounter on Saturday. On the other hand, RCB succumbed to back-to-back defeats at the hands of CSK and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their own lair in morale-deflating fashion. Placed sixth and seventh respectively, Mumbai and Bangalore will take Tuesday's game as a must-win encounter as the losing side might find it difficult to get a shot at a play-offs berth. Mumbai beat Bangalore in their last encounter by 46 runs at the Wankhede Sadium with Rohit Sharma and Evin Lewis hitting 94 and 65 respectively.

PREVIEW RCB vs MI: Struggling sides Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore will have a fight for survival when they lock horns in an Indian Premier League on Tuesday. The live telecast of the IPL 2018 match between RCB and MI will start at 8 PM on April 30 (Monday). The match can be seen live on the Star Sports network and live streaming will be available on hotstar.com. You can also follow the match live blog for ball-by-ball updates, full score and IPL match highlight on cricketnext.com.

Having beaten Chennai Super Kings in their adopted home ground in Pune, MI will go out with their tails up with confidence to take on a strong batting line-up of RCB, which has the likes of Virat Kohli and Brendon McCullum. On the other hand, the heartbreaking back-to-back defeats at the hands of CSK and Kolkata Knight Riders in their backyard would have devastated the team's confidence, but RCB will have to play out of their skins to stay in the competition.

It has been an almost identical journey for both teams so far. Mumbai and Dinesh Karthik-led KKR have managed just two wins in seven matches each, but the visitors are ahead at sixth place due to better net run rate. Whichever team that loses will find it more difficult to get a shot at a play-offs berth. Mumbai would like to take a cue from their last encounter against RCB, which they had won by 46 runs at the Wankhede Sadium with Rohit Sharma and Evin Lewis hitting 94 and 65 respectively. Barring Suryakumar Yadav, who has 274 runs under his belt in seven matches as an opener, most of the Mumbai batsmen have been inconsistent.
