Royal Challengers Bangalore is not out of the running for a play-off spot yet, but its hopes are evaporating rather quickly. 

In the last three seasons, teams have needed a minimum of 16 points to advance; with two wins to its name, RCB is some distance away from that figure. 

A target of eight victories would mean that RCB can afford to lose only one more game. With five of its last seven matches to be played away from home, it is an uphill task. Such a comeback would not be unprecedented, though.
