Naidu questions Modi over unfulfilled promises

| | Amaravati

Do you want Swarnandhra or Scam-Andhra? If you want Swarnandhra, support Modi-Babu jodi. Apart from Special Status, I will implement all other promises made in Reorganisation Act and more also, if necessary”, Narendra Modi told Andhra people before Lord Venkateswara in his first public meeting held at Tarakarama Stadium of SV University at Tirupathi on 30th April, 2014 as part of election campaign.

At the same place, on the same day of 2018 after four years, TDP national president and Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandra Babu Naidu, after playing Narendra Modi’s Tirupathi Public Meeting speech, Naidu questioned the Prime Minister about his non implementation of promises in “letter and spirit” as word given to Andhra people. “Is it wrong to question Modi for his mischief”, Naidu asked the public.

“BJP has colluded with a tainted party, YSR Congress to do injustice to 5 crore people of Andhra Pradesh. Our fight will continue against them until justice gets delivered and there is no compromise on that”, Naidu said, while launching first election public meeting.

“Final victory is ours. We will decide next Prime Minister. Give us 25 MP seats. We know how to get things to be done. We are demanding for justice. Even Modi didn’t like to mention our State name in his last budget”, Naidu objected.

While unmasking the betrayal of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, exactly from the same venue at the abode of Lord Balaji in Tirupati, on the same date, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) held a large public meeting “Nammaka Droham–Kutra Rajakeeyalapai Dharma Porata Bahiranga Sabha” (Fight against Betrayal and Collusion Politics - Public Meeting) on Monday to remind Narendra Modi of his promises.

As four years gone by and none of the promises got fulfilled, the revolted Naidu has played the voice of “betrayal of promises” given to 5 crore people of the State by the then 2014 Parliamentary Elections’ NDA Prime Ministerial Candidate and the present Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. “2014 “NaMo” was not Namo Venkatesha.

Modi has betrayed the Andhra people. TDP has been relentlessly fighting against the centre for the rights of people of AP, demanding it to fulfil assurances made in Rajya Sabha including Special Category Status and provisions of AP Reorganisation Act. Recently on 20th April 2018 in Amaravati, we observed a day long hunger strike “Dharma Porata Deeksha”.

Resonating the sentiments of people of AP, TDP has been continuously staging protests in various forms against the centre on doing injustice to Andhra Pradesh. TDP MPs fearlessly staged protests inside and outside parliament and even outside Prime Minister’s residence demanding justice to Andhra Pradesh. The party has been organising cycle and bike rallies in constituencies across the state making public aware of injustice done to AP”, Naidu said.

Nara Lokesh, State’s PR, RD and IT Minister, while addressing public, he said, “no address for BJP. It can’t even win 10 sarpanch seats. Expecting Special Status and other support, TDP aligned with BJP in 2014 and gave two MP seats and five MLA seats. Though four years lapsed Narendra Modi has done nothing to the State.

But, he cheated Andhra people. Now he going with 420 Y.S. Jagan to ditch again the people. We will teach them a lesson with 25 MP seats to TDP”.
